Elena Apostolescu has 14 years of background in valuation, accounting expertise, audit and consulting, and offers professional services to publicly traded and privately held companies. She has gained a vast experience in the financial-accounting field and an in-depth understanding of valuations for financial reporting purposes (IFRS and RAS) and of their impact on various circumstances.
Elena has worked in many projects regarding the transfer of assets and businesses, the purchase price allocation, the valuation of intangible assets, the goodwill and other non-current assets impairment tests and has acquired a wealth of knowledge based on a thorough analysis of the valuation and of the recording the valuation results in the client accounts.
Elena coordinated various valuation projects for mergers and spin-offs and she has large experience helping clients in preparing merger and spin-offs plans, including drafting the financial statements for these projects.
Before joining CMF Consulting, Elena served several years as CFO for the Romanian subsidiary of an US company in the insurance industry and before of this she was Chief accountant of the Romanian subsidiary of one of the largest Japanese electronics company. She also worked for one of the Big4 companies as Consultant.
Elena is a chartered accountant member of the Romanian National Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (CECCAR) and a chartered accountant member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), the global body for professional accountants. She is also a certified valuer accredited (MAA) for business valuation and a certified valuer for real estate properties (ANEVAR member since 2004) and Member of RICS.
